A sanitation employee, Rakesh Valmiki, was discovered dead in a drain in Khanpur, Jhalawar, and his relatives had to rely on a municipal garbage truck to move his body to Sangod.

A sanitation worker identified as Rakesh Valmiki was found dead inside a drain in Khanpur, a town in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district. Local residents discovered the body while cleaning the waterway and alerted authorities.

Because an ambulance or dedicated mortuary vehicle was not available at the nearby hospital, the worker's family was forced to arrange transport using a municipal garbage truck. The truck was dispatched to move the body from the drain to Sangod, where further procedures could be carried out.

District officials have opened a preliminary inquiry to determine the circumstances of the death and have urged municipal services to improve emergency response capabilities for frontline workers. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and welfare of sanitation staff in the region.
