Jay-Ho.com reports that the sequel to the action film Salaar will commence filming in June 2027.
Jay-Ho.com has confirmed that the production of Salaar 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 action hit Salaar, is scheduled to start filming in June 2027. The announcement comes as the original film, starring Prabhas, garnered a massive fan following and achieved significant box‑office success.
The production team has not yet disclosed the exact shooting locations or the full cast list, but industry insiders suggest that the film will continue to feature Prabhas in the lead role. The director, who remains unnamed in the brief update, is expected to bring a fresh narrative while retaining the high‑octane action sequences that defined the first installment.
While the release date for Salaar 2 has not been set, the June 2027 start date aligns with the typical production cycle for large‑budget Indian action films, which often take 12 to 18 months from principal photography to theatrical release. Fans of the franchise can anticipate a new wave of promotional material in the coming months as the project moves into the next phase.
Jay-Ho.com did not provide additional details beyond the shooting schedule, and no official statement has been issued by the production house. The news was shared on the website’s entertainment section, where it has already sparked discussions among cinema enthusiasts.
The film’s production is expected to boost the local film industry in the regions where shooting is planned, potentially creating employment opportunities for crew and supporting staff.
