DSP, a well‑known music producer, has brought together a hundred folk rhythm players from across India to lay down the title track for the upcoming film Yellamma. The large‑scale session aims to fuse regional folk beats with contemporary film music.
The participating musicians, representing a wide spectrum of Indian folk traditions, gathered in a studio setting to record layered percussive sections. Their collective effort is intended to give the Yellamma soundtrack an authentic, pan‑Indian folk flavor.
IndustryHit.com reported the collaboration, noting that such initiatives reflect a growing trend of integrating folk elements into mainstream cinema. The recording is expected to raise the profile of the involved folk artists and add cultural depth to the film’s music.
