Rinku Dhawan Calls Out Industry for Typecasting After Anupamaa Success

Rinku Dhawan, who rose to prominence as the mother in the popular TV drama Anupamaa, has voiced concerns about being typecast. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, she said, "Please don’t take that away from me," urging producers and directors to offer her diverse roles. The actress highlighted that repeated casting in similar family roles could limit her career growth and artistic expression. Industry insiders say typecasting is common, but Dhawan hopes her plea will spark a broader conversation about role diversity for actresses. For now, Dhawan remains committed to her work on Anupamaa while seeking opportunities that challenge her acting range.
