All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored a hundred in the Ranji Trophy, strengthening his case for selection in the upcoming New Zealand Test series.
Ravindra Jadeja registered a century in his latest Ranji Trophy outing, reaching the three‑figure mark in the first innings of the match. The knock came as part of his campaign for his state side, adding a significant milestone to his domestic record.
The innings underscored Jadeja's resurgence with the bat, complementing his well‑known left‑arm spin. Over the past few months he has been rotating between the middle order and the lower order, and the hundred demonstrates his ability to anchor an innings when required.
India’s next Test series is scheduled in New Zealand later this year, and the selectors are expected to weigh recent domestic performances heavily. Jadeja’s century bolsters his credentials as a potential all‑rounder choice for the overseas tour.
If retained, Jadeja would bring a blend of experience and versatility to the squad, offering both wicket‑taking options and depth in the batting line‑up as the team prepares for the challenging conditions in New Zealand.
