The Ravana dahan ceremony is scheduled for 20 October, with the most auspicious window for burning the demon’s effigy set between 5:47 pm and 8:23 pm as per the Panchang.
This period, known as the “pradosha” time, is believed to amplify the spiritual significance of the ritual and ensure the complete destruction of Ravana’s ego.
During the evening, devotees will celebrate Lord Ram’s triumph over evil, lighting lamps and chanting hymns as the sun sets.
The chosen time is considered superior for Ravana dahan, making the event a focal point for religious observances across the country.
