Railway authorities have approved a proposal to start water‑supply facilities at Rani Kamalapati station and increase train stoppages there, aiming to ease passenger load at Bhopal station.
The Indian Railways headquarters has given its nod to a proposal that will introduce water‑supply facilities at Rani Kamalapati station in Bhopal. The move is part of a broader strategy to shift some passenger traffic from the heavily crowded Bhopal station.
By allowing more trains to halt at Rani Kamalapati, commuters will have an additional boarding and alighting point, which is expected to distribute the passenger load more evenly across the city’s rail network. The new water‑ingestion capability will also enable trains to replenish their reserves without needing to stop at the main Bhopal terminal.
