Rajasthan officials met the state's diaspora in Guwahati, presenting opportunities for business, investment and development.
Rajasthan's government delegation travelled to Guwahati, Assam, to engage with members of the state's diaspora residing in the northeast. The meeting, organized by the Rajasthan Economic Development Board, showcased the state's recent policy reforms, infrastructure projects and incentives aimed at attracting private investment.
Participants were briefed on sectors such as renewable energy, tourism, agro‑processing and information technology, where the state is seeking partnerships and capital. Officials highlighted the availability of land, streamlined clearances and tax benefits designed to facilitate new enterprises.
The outreach effort is part of a broader strategy to mobilise the diaspora's expertise and financial resources for Rajasthan's development agenda. Organisers said they will continue similar engagements in other cities with significant Rajasthani communities.
The Economic Times reported that the event also included a networking session, allowing diaspora entrepreneurs to connect directly with Rajasthan's business promotion agencies.
