A constable posted at Ghatoli police station in Jhalawar was apprehended in Kota’s Vigyan Nagar area for involvement in a smuggling racket, with police recovering Rs 14 lakh in cash.
The Rajasthan police have taken a serving constable into custody on suspicion of participating in a smuggling operation. Constable Manoj Malav, who was posted at the Ghatoli police outpost in Jhalawar district, was intercepted by investigators in the Vigyan Nagar locality of Kota.
During the raid, law‑enforcement officials recovered a cache of cash amounting to approximately Rs 14 lakh, which they say is linked to the illicit trade. The seized money was seized as evidence and will be handed over to the district magistrate for further inquiry.
