The first phase of Rajasthan’s 2026 Panchayat elections has declared results in Jaipur district, with Hansa Devi elected sarpanch of Ram Singhpura and Choti Devi Jat winning the sarpanch seat in Sanvli.
The State Election Commission began counting votes for the first phase of Rajasthan’s 2026 Panchayat elections on Tuesday, covering 16 districts and dozens of villages. As ballot boxes were opened, the tally showed clear outcomes for several gram panchayats in Jaipur district.
In the village of Ram Singhpura, located on the outskirts of Jaipur, Hansa Devi emerged victorious, securing the sarpanch post with a comfortable margin over her nearest rival. Meanwhile, in the neighboring village of Sanvli, Choti Devi Jat captured the sarpanch seat, marking a notable win for local women leaders.
These results underscore a broader trend of increased female representation in grassroots governance across Rajasthan. Election officials expect the remaining phases to be counted in the coming days, after which the full composition of the state’s new panchayat bodies will be announced.
