Rajasthan launches integrated billing software to curb fake claims in RGHS

The Rajasthan government will roll out a unified online billing system for its RGHS hospitals to verify treatment claims and prevent fraudulent billing.
Jaipur, Rajasthan – The state’s Chief Secretary announced that a new integrated billing software will be introduced across all Rajasthan Government Health Services (RGHS) hospitals. The system is designed to eliminate fake billing and unauthorized claims by moving claim verification to an online platform.
The software will consolidate treatment data from various departments and automatically cross‑check each claim against patient records before approval. By digitising the entire billing workflow, the government aims to ensure transparency and reduce manual errors.
Officials expect the rollout to begin within the next few weeks, with full implementation across the RGHS network by the end of the year. The move is part of a broader effort to tighten financial controls in public health institutions and safeguard taxpayer money.
Stakeholders, including hospital administrators and medical staff, have been briefed on the new procedures and will receive training to adapt to the digital system. The initiative reflects Rajasthan’s commitment to leveraging technology for better governance in the health sector.
