The Rajasthan High Court has directed that appointments of Junior Scientific Officers in the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board will remain subject to the final ruling on a pending petition.
The Rajasthan High Court issued a directive on Tuesday, stating that all appointments of Junior Scientific Officers (JSO) in the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) will be held pending the final decision in a petition filed by a former applicant.
The petition, filed by a former candidate who alleged irregularities in the recruitment process, seeks a complete halt to the hiring of JSOs until the court’s final judgment is issued.
In its order, the court emphasized that the recruitment process must not proceed until the legal dispute is resolved, ensuring that the appointments are made in compliance with the law and without bias.
The RSPCB has been advised to suspend all ongoing and future JSO hiring until the court delivers its final verdict, after which the board will resume the recruitment process under the court’s guidance.
