On Tuesday, Governor Haribhau Bagde convened a meeting of senior officials at the Dausa collectorate hall to launch an intensified anti‑drug campaign in Rajasthan. The gathering, attended by law‑enforcement heads and district administrators, focused on moving beyond sporadic seizures and targeting the structural roots of drug trafficking.
During the session, the Governor stressed that merely “top‑down” actions would not suffice. He directed the state police, represented by SP Piyush Dixit, to adopt a systematic approach that dismantles the entire supply chain, from local dealers to the larger networks operating across the state.
Bagde also called for coordinated intelligence sharing among agencies and urged swift legal action against those identified as key facilitators. The governor’s statement reflects a broader state‑level resolve to curb the rising menace of narcotics, which has been linked to rising crime rates and social concerns in several districts.
