In Khairthal‑Tijara district, the Rajasthan Anti‑Corruption Bureau has arrested two constables from the DST team for allegedly demanding a 2.20 lakh rupee bribe from local traders.
The Rajasthan Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) seized two constables from the District Surveillance Team (DST) in Khairthal‑Tijara district on charges of demanding a 2.20 lakh rupee bribe from local traders.
According to the ACB report, the officers allegedly approached traders seeking a payment to facilitate business operations. The bribe demand was allegedly made in exchange for overlooking regulatory compliance.
The constables identified as Brajesh and Ishwar Singh were apprehended by the ACB while they were in the process of collecting the bribe. Their arrest follows a broader probe into corruption within the district’s law‑enforcement units.
The ACB has announced that the officers will be handed over to the police for further investigation and possible prosecution under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The bureau has also pledged to strengthen oversight of the DST to prevent similar incidents in the future.
