A western disturbance brought rain to Jaipur and Shri Ganganagar, while hail was reported in parts of Alwar and Kotputli‑Bahad, prompting weather alerts across Rajasthan.

On Saturday, a western disturbance swept across Rajasthan, delivering measurable rainfall to the state capital Jaipur and the northern town of Shri Ganganagar. Meteorological stations recorded scattered showers that lasted for several hours, breaking the usual dry spell in these areas.

In the southern districts, the same system produced hailstones in isolated pockets of Alwar and the Kotputli‑Bahad region. Residents reported small to medium-sized hail that caused minor damage to crops and a few rooftops.

The Rajasthan State Disaster Management Authority issued weather alerts, advising the public to stay indoors during intense downpours and to avoid low‑lying areas prone to waterlogging. The department also warned that the western disturbance could linger, bringing further rain or hail to other parts of the state later in the week.

So far, no major injuries or large‑scale disruptions have been reported. Local officials continue to monitor the situation and have mobilised emergency response teams to address any emerging hazards.
