The monsoon season may have officially ended in Madhya Pradesh, but rain continued to lash the state on Dussehra. In Bhopal, organizers were compelled to cover the traditional Ravana puppets as heavy showers drenched the city.
The state’s meteorological department has issued a storm warning covering 25 districts, including Indore and Ujjain, citing the likelihood of strong winds and further precipitation.
Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 50 kilometres per hour, prompting local authorities to advise residents to secure loose objects and avoid non‑essential travel.
Despite the festive atmosphere, the unexpected weather has disrupted outdoor celebrations, with many events being moved indoors or postponed until conditions improve.
