The Himachal Pradesh Meteorological Department has issued a warning of a rain spell beginning on October 5, with a concurrent drop in daytime temperatures.
The Himachal Pradesh Meteorological Department has forecast a spell of rain to begin on October 5, affecting most districts of the state. The system is expected to bring intermittent showers over the next several days, with the heaviest activity likely in the lower valleys.
Alongside the precipitation, the department warned that maximum temperatures will dip by several degrees compared with the previous week, bringing cooler daytime highs across the region. Nighttime lows are also projected to fall, offering a noticeable chill.
Authorities have advised residents to stay updated with local weather bulletins, secure loose objects, and exercise caution while travelling on hilly roads that may become slippery. Farmers have been urged to protect vulnerable crops from excess moisture.
The forecast will be reviewed daily, and any further advisories will be communicated through official channels.
