Rahul Gandhi sent a letter to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav asking for an increase in Class‑2 and Class‑3 teacher vacancies in the 2025 recruitment drive.

New Delhi – In a formal correspondence addressed to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi requested the state government to expand the number of Class‑2 and Class‑3 teaching positions in the upcoming 2025 teacher recruitment.

Gandhi highlighted the persistent shortage of qualified teachers across the state’s schools and argued that the current vacancy count, which runs into hundreds of thousands, warrants a larger intake to ensure quality education.

The letter, obtained by local media, urges the administration to revise the recruitment quota, emphasizing that a higher allocation of posts will help fill the existing gaps and improve student‑teacher ratios.

State officials have not yet responded publicly to the appeal, and the recruitment schedule for 2025 remains under preparation.

The move adds political pressure on the Madhya Pradesh government ahead of the upcoming state elections, where education and employment remain key voter concerns.
