Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has urged authorities to provide an update on the ongoing probe into unsafe paying guest accommodations in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area, highlighting concerns over students’ living conditions.
Rahul Gandhi raised the issue after reports emerged about substandard and unsafe PG facilities in the Satya Niketan locality, which houses many students from nearby colleges. He said that students are being compelled to live in conditions that jeopardize their safety and well-being.
The Congress leader called on the concerned civic and police authorities to share the latest progress of the investigation initiated following complaints about these PGs. He stressed the need for swift action to ensure proper safety standards.
Gandhi also urged the administration to consider long‑term solutions, such as regulated student housing, to prevent recurrence of such problems. He emphasized that the welfare of students must be a priority for all stakeholders.
