Actress Radhika Apte has criticized online trolls for judging Alia Bhatt's physique in the film 'Alpha,' highlighting the double standards faced by women in action roles.
Bollywood actress Radhika Apte has voiced her strong disapproval of the online criticism directed at Alia Bhatt's physical appearance in the upcoming film 'Alpha.' Apte took to social media to address the comments, describing the scrutiny of a female actor's body as unacceptable and counterproductive.
The actress emphasized that such remarks reflect a persistent double standard within the industry, where male actors in action roles are rarely subjected to similar body-shaming. Apte argued that the focus should remain on the skill, dedication, and performance of the actors rather than their physical attributes.
By calling out these trolls, Apte aims to shift the conversation towards merit and professionalism. Her comments have resonated with many fans and peers who agree that female actors should be judged on their craft, not their physique, especially in demanding action genres.
