Punjab to Build Sports Fields, Parks at 10 Drug‑Affected Sites in Fatehgarh Sahib

The Punjab government announced a new initiative to construct sports fields and parks at ten locations in Fatehgarh Sahib that have been heavily affected by drug abuse. The project aims to provide safe recreational spaces for youth and deter them from falling into substance misuse. Officials said the development will include playgrounds, walking tracks, and community centers. The construction is expected to begin next month and be completed within a year. Local residents have welcomed the plan, hoping it will revitalize the area and offer healthier alternatives to drug use.
