Punjab Police Seize Foreign Pistols, Cartridges in Cross‑Border Arms Module

Punjab police announced the seizure of a cache of foreign‑manufactured pistols and cartridges during a raid on a cross‑border arms module. The operation, carried out by state law‑enforcement agencies, targeted a network suspected of smuggling weapons into the state. Officials reported that the seized firearms were not of Indian origin, indicating an international supply chain. The police have taken the weapons into evidence and are investigating the source and intended recipients. Authorities said the bust underscores the persistent challenge of illicit arms trafficking across India's borders.
