Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann accused the BJP of politicising the CBI raid, asserting his government is not intimidated.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann addressed reporters on Thursday, reacting to a recent CBI raid on a senior official in the state. He alleged that the raid was being exploited by the Bharatiya Janata Party to generate a political narrative against his government.
Mann stressed that his administration will not be cowed by intimidation, adding that politics is not a business venture for the opposition. He dismissed any implication that the raid indicated wrongdoing on the part of his government.
The BJP has not issued an official response to Mann’s remarks. The CBI investigation continues, and political analysts note that the exchange underscores the growing friction between the Punjab state government and the central ruling party.
