Chief Minister Bhagwan Mann criticised the Punjab Congress for a leadership vacuum, saying the party has fewer grassroots workers and a surge of chief ministerial aspirants.
Chief Minister Bhagwan Mann addressed reporters in Chandigarh, drawing attention to what he described as a deepening leadership crisis within the Punjab Congress. He said the party’s organisational base is eroding, with a noticeable decline in active grassroots workers.
Mann added that many senior Congress figures are now positioning themselves as chief‑ministerial aspirants, creating confusion and diluting the party’s focus on governance. He warned that such internal competition could weaken the opposition ahead of the next state elections.
The CM urged voters to consider the implications of a fragmented opposition and called for stable, accountable leadership to address Punjab’s pressing issues. The Congress leadership has not issued an immediate response to Mann’s remarks.
