The Kannada film Premada Oorali has completed 20 days in theatres, with collections that could challenge Raj Shetty’s top‑grossing title Su From So.
Premada Oorali, a Kannada‑language drama, marked its 20th day in Indian cinemas this week. According to box‑office trackers, the film’s cumulative earnings are approaching the benchmark set by Raj Shetty’s highest‑grossing release, Su From So. Industry analysts note that sustaining audience interest beyond the third week is crucial for regional films to break existing records.
The film, starring a popular regional cast, has benefited from strong word‑of‑mouth and a limited but steady screen presence across major cities. While exact figures have not been disclosed by the producers, trade reports suggest the collection curve remains upward, hinting at a possible overtaking of Shetty’s previous best.
If Premada Oorali does surpass the Su From So milestone, it would reinforce the growing market power of Kannada cinema within the broader Indian film landscape, encouraging further investment in regional storytelling.
