Residents of Mohali report numerous potholes on the VIP Road, disrupting travel during the holiday season.
The VIP Road, a major arterial route in Mohali, has become riddled with potholes, according to local commuters. Drivers say the uneven surface forces them to slow down, increasing travel time and fuel consumption during a period when many are moving for festivals and family gatherings.
Municipal officials have been approached by residents demanding urgent repairs, but no concrete timeline has been announced. The lack of maintenance is raising safety concerns, especially for two‑wheelers and public transport that navigate the road daily.
City authorities have acknowledged the complaints and indicated that a survey will be conducted to prioritize the most critical sections. In the meantime, commuters are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes where possible.
