Punjab police conducted a raid in Jalandhar, confiscating a substantial quantity of illegal fireworks.
Earlier this week, Punjab Police carried out a coordinated operation in Jalandhar to curb the sale of illegal fireworks.
The raid targeted a storage facility suspected of housing a large stock of unregistered firecrackers. Officers seized several thousand units, including a variety of sparkler and firecracker types.
Police officials said the confiscated goods were intended for public sale during upcoming festivals, posing a safety risk and violating the Fireworks Act.
The seized items will be destroyed under controlled conditions, and authorities are investigating the supply chain to prevent future violations.
