Police Issue Dussehra Alert, Deploy Flag March Across All Three Zones in Amritsar

The Punjab police have issued a special alert for Dussehra in Amritsar, citing the need to pre‑empt any untoward incidents during the festival. As part of the security plan, flag‑march teams have been mobilised in all three administrative zones of the city. These units are equipped to respond quickly to crowd‑related issues, traffic disruptions or any potential law‑and‑order challenges that may arise during the celebrations. Police officials indicated that the deployment is a routine precaution for large public gatherings and that no specific threat has been reported. The alert and the flag‑march presence will remain in effect throughout the Dussehra period to ensure a peaceful observance of the festival.
