Police in Rajasthan conducted a raid on a residential property in Sahwa town, Churu district, after receiving intelligence about an illicit liquor operation. The team uncovered a makeshift factory that was producing counterfeit alcoholic beverages.
During the operation, officers seized 6,720 pouches of the fake liquor, along with bottles of spirit, a bulk liquor solution, packaging machines and falsified labels used for distribution. The seized items indicate a sizable production capacity aimed at supplying the black market.
Four individuals suspected of running the illegal unit were taken into custody. They are being interrogated, and further investigations will focus on the supply chain and potential distribution networks across the region.
The police have warned that they will continue to crack down on unlicensed liquor production, which poses serious health risks to consumers. The case is being forwarded to the district crime branch for detailed forensic analysis and legal proceedings.
