A clip of Prime Minister Narendra Modi riding the Chennai Metro alongside actor Vijay has gone viral, prompting speculation about a new political equation in Tamil Nadu.
A video circulating online shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi aboard the Chennai Metro, sitting beside popular Tamil actor Vijay. The clip, captured during the PM’s recent visit to the city, shows the leaders chatting casually while traveling through the underground station.
The footage has quickly become a trending topic on social media, with users sharing and commenting on the unexpected sight of the two public figures together. While the video itself is light‑hearted, it has sparked speculation among political analysts about a potential new alliance or collaboration in Tamil Nadu.
Observers note that the timing of the clip coincides with the BJP’s ongoing outreach to the state’s electorate, and the presence of Vijay—a major star with a large fan base—could be seen as a strategic move to broaden the party’s appeal.
So far, no official statements have confirmed any formal partnership, but the viral ride has undeniably added a new dimension to the political discourse surrounding Tamil Nadu’s upcoming elections.
