Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic from Aug 29 to Sep 1 for talks on trade, critical minerals and health cooperation, and to attend the SCO summit in Bishkek.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a four‑day state visit covering Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic between August 29 and September 1. In Tashkent, he will meet Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to deepen bilateral relations and explore new avenues for economic collaboration, with particular focus on trade, critical mineral supplies and joint healthcare initiatives.
The itinerary includes a stop in Bishkek, where Modi will join leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) for the summit. At the summit, India is expected to outline its priorities on regional security, connectivity and multilateral cooperation.
The visit will also feature the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games, underscoring cultural ties between the countries. Officials say the trip aims to strengthen India’s strategic foothold in Central Asia while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships in key sectors.
