PM Modi Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Tamil Nadu Amid Political Changes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking to The New Indian Express, emphasized that the central government's commitment to Tamil Nadu will not waver, regardless of which party forms the state administration. He underscored that development initiatives and financial assistance for the southern state will continue uninterrupted, reflecting the centre's long‑standing partnership with Tamil Nadu. Modi added that the nation's unity and progress depend on consistent cooperation between the centre and the states, and that political transitions should not affect the delivery of public services. The statement comes as a reassurance to the people of Tamil Nadu that central policies and schemes will remain in force, irrespective of electoral outcomes.

In his remarks, the prime minister highlighted that the central government has always prioritized inclusive growth across all regions, and Tamil Nadu is no exception. He called for collaborative efforts to address the state's socio‑economic challenges, assuring that the centre stands ready to support the state’s aspirations.
