Actor Anirrudh Rawal, son of veteran Paresh Rawal, appears for the first time on the silver screen in the upcoming film ‘Awarapan 2’, having been coached by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah.
Anirrudh Rawal, the son of acclaimed actor Paresh Rawal, is set to make his cinematic debut with the sequel ‘Awarapan 2’. The young performer has been under the tutelage of veteran thespian Naseeruddin Shah, who has guided him through the preparation for the role.
While Paresh Rawal has enjoyed a prolific career spanning decades, his son has so far remained out of the mainstream film spotlight, focusing on training and stage work. The mentorship from Shah, known for his method acting and extensive theatre background, is reported to have helped Anirrudh transition from theatre to the demands of a big‑screen production.
‘Awarapan 2’ continues the narrative of the 2007 thriller, bringing together a new cast alongside returning members. Production sources say the film aims for a release later this year, positioning Anirrudh’s debut as a key promotional point.
Industry observers note that a debut backed by both a celebrated film family and a respected acting mentor could give the newcomer a solid footing in Bollywood’s competitive landscape.
