Authorities discovered a parcel with a concealed compartment containing opium, leading to the exposure of a cross‑border criminal network, NDTV reported.
Law enforcement officials intercepted a parcel that concealed a separate compartment filled with opium. The hidden stash was uncovered during routine inspection, prompting a detailed search of the package.
The discovery has revealed links to a broader cross‑border crime network that traffics narcotics, according to NDTV. Investigators say the compartment’s design suggests deliberate attempts to evade detection while moving the drug across international borders.
Authorities have launched a probe to trace the origin of the parcel and identify the individuals behind the operation. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
