The official Panchkula police portal is displaying old crime records, forcing locals to search elsewhere for up‑to‑date information.
The Haryana Police’s Panchkula district portal is currently presenting information that dates back several months, with recent crime reports and FIR details missing from the site.
Residents who rely on the online platform for safety updates have reported difficulty locating current crime statistics, prompting many to turn to social media groups and local news outlets for the latest alerts.
Police officials have not issued a formal statement on the website’s lag, but senior officers are reportedly reviewing the technical glitches that have left the portal stuck in the past. Civic groups are urging the department to refresh the site promptly to restore public confidence.
The Times of India highlighted the issue, noting that an up‑to‑date digital interface is essential for transparent policing and community safety in the rapidly growing city of Panchkula.
