Local officials warn that dangling power lines in Nayagaon could cause accidents if not addressed promptly.
Mohali authorities have raised concerns about exposed overhead electric wires in the Nayagaon area. The dangling lines, which appear to be unsecured, present a clear safety hazard for pedestrians and motorists alike.
Municipal officials have urged residents to stay clear of the wires and have called for immediate remedial action by the power utility. They emphasized that any contact with live conductors could result in severe injuries or fatalities.
The local administration is reportedly coordinating with the electricity board to assess the situation and to arrange for the removal or proper insulation of the wires. In the meantime, the public has been advised to report any further hazards to the civic helpline.
The warning comes as part of broader efforts to improve urban safety in rapidly expanding suburbs of Mohali, where infrastructure upgrades are often needed to keep pace with growth.
