More than 11.3 million devotees visited Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple during the Shravan month, and over 2,200 quintals of laddus were offered as prasadam.
Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, witnessed an unprecedented influx of pilgrims during the Hindu month of Shravan, with official counts indicating that more than 1.13 crore devotees entered the Mahakaleshwar temple directly. The massive gathering underscores the city’s status as a major spiritual hub during this auspicious period.
Temple authorities reported that a staggering 2,215 quintals of laddus were prepared and distributed as prasadam to the faithful, reflecting the scale of the celebration and the logistical effort involved in feeding millions of visitors.
In addition to the main shrine, over 43.75 lakh pilgrims visited various other sacred sites in Ujjain, including the revered Nagchandreshwar deity, further highlighting the city’s religious significance throughout Shravan.
