Heavy rain has caused waterlogging and road closures in parts of Rajasthan, prompting orange alerts for three districts and yellow alerts for 24 others.
Rainfall across Rajasthan intensified overnight, leading to the overflow of several small rivers and streams. The excess water has inundated low‑lying areas and forced the closure of key rural and highway routes in affected districts.
The state disaster management authority has responded by issuing orange weather alerts for Dhaulpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur, indicating a high risk of further flooding. In addition, yellow alerts have been declared for 24 other districts, signalling moderate but still significant weather-related hazards.
