Opposition MPs Demand Amit Shah's Presence in Rajya Sabha Amid Protest

In the early hours of the day, opposition members of Parliament gathered in the Lok Sabha chamber and began chanting slogans demanding that Home Minister Amit Shah be present in the Rajya Sabha. The protest was part of a broader demonstration against the use of force on students, prompting the Lok Sabha to adjourn until 2 p.m. The opposition leaders argued that Shah’s presence was essential to address the concerns raised by the student protests. The session resumed later in the day with the house scheduled to discuss the Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2026.
