On the auspicious day of Nag Panchami coinciding with the third Monday of Saavan, devotees witnessed a grand procession of Lord Omkareshwar‑Mamleshwar in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh.
On 27th July, the town of Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh celebrated the rare convergence of Nag Panchami and the third Monday of Saavan with a spectacular procession of Lord Omkareshwar‑Mamleshwar. The deity’s idol was carried on a decorated palanquin, drawing thousands of devotees along the banks of the Narmada River.
The procession, organized by the temple authorities, began at the main shrine and moved through the narrow lanes of the town, with devotees chanting hymns and offering flowers. The route culminated at the riverfront, where the idol was placed on a boat for a ceremonial Narmada cruise.
