Officials crossed the river by boat and arrived in Khadiyani village by tractor, where they set up a camp to address the concerns of residents affected by the Ken-Betwa project, offering health checks and on‑spot applications for government schemes.
Officials from the district administration boarded a boat to cross the river and then used a tractor to reach Khadiyani village in Chhatarpur district. Upon arrival they established a temporary camp aimed at directly engaging with residents whose lands and livelihoods have been impacted by the Ken‑Betwa river interlinking project.
The camp served as a one‑stop centre where villagers received basic health examinations and were assisted in filing applications for various government welfare schemes, including housing, livelihood and agricultural assistance. Officials listened to individual grievances and promised prompt follow‑up.
The Ken‑Betwa project, a large‑scale water‑resource initiative, has displaced several hamlets across the region. The administration’s field outreach reflects the state government's effort to mitigate displacement impacts by providing immediate relief and facilitating access to entitlement programmes.
