The state government of Odisha has mobilised 30 teams to prepare for the approaching Cyclone Arnab, aiming to safeguard coastal communities and infrastructure.
Odisha’s disaster management authorities have activated 30 specialized teams in anticipation of Cyclone Arnab, which is projected to make landfall along the state’s coastline. The teams are tasked with conducting early warning drills, reinforcing embankments, and coordinating evacuation plans for vulnerable districts.
The deployment follows a series of meteorological alerts indicating the cyclone’s trajectory and potential intensity. Officials have urged residents in low‑lying areas to remain vigilant and follow guidance from local authorities.
This proactive response is part of Odisha’s broader strategy to mitigate the impact of severe weather events, which have historically caused significant damage and loss of life in the region.
