North Western Railway will operate 38 pairs of special services, including 13 new pairs, to accommodate the surge of passengers during upcoming festivals.
North Western Railway (NWR) has announced a comprehensive plan to run 38 pairs of special train services in the lead-up to the region’s major festivals. The schedule will see a total of 824 trips across the network.
Of these, 13 pairs are brand‑new special trains, accounting for 264 additional journeys. The remaining 25 pairs are existing services that will be increased in frequency.
The move aims to ease the expected surge in passenger traffic during the festive season, ensuring smoother and safer travel for millions of commuters. NWR officials said the new and extra services will cover key routes that connect major cities and pilgrimage sites across Rajasthan.
While the exact timetable and routes have not yet been released, the railway has assured that all special trains will adhere to safety protocols and will be staffed with additional crew to manage the higher passenger load.
