Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the Noida airport will be renamed Narendra Modi International Airport.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the civil aviation facility in Noida will now be known as Narendra Modi International Airport. The declaration was made during a press briefing, where the CM emphasized the honour of naming the airport after the current Prime Minister.

The renaming aligns with a broader trend of commemorating national leaders through infrastructure projects. Officials from the state aviation department confirmed that all signage, documentation and digital platforms will be updated to reflect the new name.

Noida, part of the National Capital Region, serves as a key hub for business and passenger traffic. The change is expected to boost the airport's profile and may attract increased investment in the region's aviation sector.

The state government has not released a detailed timeline for the implementation of the name change, but indicated that the transition will be completed in the coming weeks.
