Senior BJP leader Nitin Nabin began a foot march titled ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ today, covering key districts in Bihar and West Bengal to protest against perceived threats to democracy.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party figure Nitin Nabin kicked off a statewide padyatra on Monday, naming it “Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao”. The march, which began in the early hours, aims to highlight what the organizers describe as growing anti‑democratic tendencies in the region.
The foot‑march will traverse several districts in Bihar before moving into West Bengal, with volunteers and local party workers joining the procession at designated checkpoints. Organisers have outlined a route that includes major towns such as Patna, Gaya, Siliguri and Kolkata, intending to reach a broad cross‑section of the electorate.
