Nine officers of the Nagaland Civil Service have been selected for promotion to the Indian Administrative Service, as reported by Northeast Today.
The state government of Nagaland has announced that nine of its Civil Service officers have cleared the eligibility criteria for elevation to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The selection was confirmed by the official notification released earlier this week, and the names of the officers have been made public by Northeast Today.
These promotions are part of the regular cadre management process that integrates state civil servants into the all‑India services after they meet the required service tenure and performance standards. The officers will undergo the standard IAS induction training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie before assuming their new responsibilities.
The move is expected to strengthen the representation of Nagaland in the IAS and provide the state with experienced administrators who understand local challenges. The promoted officers are slated to take up postings across the country, bringing regional expertise to the national administrative framework.
