Official sources confirm nine fatalities and more than 25 patients referred to district hospitals after drinking suspected poisonous alcohol in villages of Bunda, Sagar district.
Sagar district authorities have verified that nine people died after consuming alcohol suspected to be laced with poison in several villages of the Bunda area. The victims, ranging in age from young adults to seniors, reportedly fell ill shortly after drinking the liquor and were rushed to local health facilities.
