Nihangs Beat Drunk Patrons Outside Ludhiana Shop with Sticks

Witnesses reported that a band of Nihangs entered the vicinity of a local shop in Ludhiana where several people were consuming alcohol. The armed group confronted the drinkers and began beating them with wooden sticks.
The assault took place outside the premises, and onlookers said the victims were forced to flee the scene amid the violence.
Local authorities were alerted to the incident and are said to be investigating the matter, though details on arrests or injuries have not been released.
Nihangs, a traditional Sikh warrior order known for carrying ceremonial weapons, have occasionally been involved in public confrontations, and this episode adds to concerns about their activities in urban areas.
