The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) stated that potholes on the Indore-Dewas bypass have been filled. In response, the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed the petitioner to inspect the stretch to verify the claim.
NHAI made the claim during a hearing related to a public interest litigation concerning the condition of the Indore-Dewas bypass. The authority asserted that repair work had been completed and the road surface was now free of potholes. The bench, after hearing the submission, noted the need for an independent verification. Consequently, the court instructed the petitioner to visit the bypass and submit a report on the actual status of the road. The directive aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the maintenance of national highways.
