Netflix confirmed that the science‑fiction action adaptation, which has been in development for 18 years, has received an official status update. The project, first reported nearly two decades ago, has long been a subject of speculation among fans of the streaming platform.
The latest announcement indicates that the series is moving forward under Netflix’s production slate, though details about casting, budget or release timeline were not disclosed. Industry observers note that the update signals a renewed commitment to the high‑budget genre project, which could broaden Netflix’s original sci‑fi offerings.
